Federal Law C-36 states “it is illegal in Canada to earn money by owning, managing or working for a commercial enterprise, such as a strip club, massage parlour or escort agency, knowing that sexual services are purchased there. It is also illegal to ‘Procure’ a person to offer or provide sexual services for consideration.”
Yet the city of Markham continues to ignore the law since it came into effect in 2014 and has licensed the Markham-area body rub parlour owners, operators and sex workers to the tune of $1.2 Million.
The city’s actions are AIDING in the commission of crimes. The city is a PIMP to the PIMPS and SEX WORKERS!
Contact Mayor Frank Scarpitti <MayorScarpitti@markham.ca> and tell him to:
- Close Markham’s body rub parlours by cancelling their licenses.
- Make York Regional Police arrest the Pimps and Johns.
- Abide by Federal law: Bill C-36.
- Make Markham the FIRST Human Trafficking and Sex Exploitation ‘FREE ZONE”!
AND
- Stop the EXPLOITATION of WOMEN in our City!
